Powering On and OFF (Link Models)
This is the most up-to-date guidance based on Lithionics’ recommendations
Document Information Updated: 01/07/2026 .
Power-Down / Power-Up Sequence
Yes—the order does matter.
To power down:
- Turn off all loads (inverter, appliances, etc.)
- Turn off the blue battery button
- Turn off the main breaker
To power up:
- Turn on the blue battery button
- Turn on the main breaker
This sequence ensures the battery is awake and ready before the system attempts to draw power.
🔵 Blue Button = Battery ON / OFF (BMS Wake-Up)
- This button wakes up or puts the lithium battery’s internal “brain” (BMS) to sleep.
- When OFF, the battery is essentially asleep:
- It will not charge
- It will not discharge
- It protects itself during storage
- When ON, the battery is awake, healthy, and ready to safely supply or accept power.
Think of this like turning the engine on.
⚫ 250A Breaker = Connect / Disconnect the Van
- This breaker physically connects the battery to the rest of the van (inverter, lights, outlets, chargers, etc.).
- When OFF, the battery may be awake, but nothing in the van can use it.
- When ON, the van systems are allowed to draw power from the battery.
Think of this like putting the vehicle in gear.
